The history of U.S. interventions abroad is complex and often controversial. Many historians and political analysts argue that certain direct or indirect interventions by the United States have significantly contributed to destabilization, crisis, or regime change in various countries.
It is important to note that the term "to eradicate" is strong and subjective; rarely does a country cease to exist completely. However, it is correct to assert that U.S. foreign policy, at different times (Cold War, War on Terror, etc.), has had profound and, in some cases, devastating consequences for sovereign nations.
