On February 5, 2026, Solana (SOL) is under strong pressure. In recent days, the price has broken down below $100 and is currently trading in the range of $89.8–$91 (according to Yahoo Finance, Investing.com, Bybit, and CoinMarketCap — closing at ~$90.99, daily low $89.76–$89.78). Many investors are panic-stricken and asking: "What if SOL falls to zero?"

Short answer:

The probability that the price of SOL will drop to 0 is extremely low and practically unrealistic under current conditions. This is only possible in an apocalyptic scenario, for which there are currently no serious prerequisites.

Why is it almost impossible to go to zero?

Market capitalization is still huge

Market Cap is currently ~$51–52 billion. For the price to become zero, the project must completely disappear. And the Solana ecosystem is alive and active: millions of users, DeFi protocols, memecoins, NFTs, and new dApps continue to operate.

Scenarios that would lead to zero

For the price to realistically approach 0, the following must happen simultaneously:

Complete and irreversible network collapse (constant outages without recovery);

The team and major validators would massively abandon the project;

A global ban from regulators + complete loss of liquidity;

The disappearance of the entire ecosystem (DeFi, memecoins, etc.).

None of this is happening right now. On the contrary, the network is stabilizing, we are waiting for updates like Firedancer.

Even the most pessimistic forecasts do not predict zero.

In the current bearish market, the worst expectations are a drop to $80–$85, in extreme cases $65–$70 (according to technical analysis, Fibonacci levels). The minimum in 2024–2025 was around $79 — there is support there. No serious analyst is talking about zero.

Forecasts for the future

Short-term (end of 2026): Many expect $120–$250 (Standard Chartered — $250, others — $200+).

Long-term (by 2030): Optimists see $400–$2000+, thanks to Solana's position in micropayments and stablecoins.

Output and advice

SOL is currently in the 'pain' zone — below $100, in a bearish phase. It could still drop to $85–$90, but won't reach 0 — that's pure fantasy.

If you are thinking of investing in SOL:

Only invest what you are prepared to lose.

The market is very volatile, currently in a bearish trend.

For the long term — the $90 zone could be a decent entry point, but remember the risks.

The Solana project remains strong, the ecosystem is growing. The fear of 'going to zero' is just market psychology.
