The price is now entering a decisive phase. On the higher timeframe, price has been moving inside a large sideways consolidation, and this consolidation may be approaching its end as the market moves closer to the apex of what I interpret as an Elliott Wave triangle. Keep in mind that a triangle does not have to remain perfectly contained within the trend lines. In fact, the structure would look more harmonic if we saw a larger D-wave develop in line with the yellow scenario.
The white scenario, which assumes a direct breakout to the upside, appears less realistic at this stage, although I still allow for the possibility of an upward breakout in both scenarios. In the yellow scenario, Litecoin may be preparing for another move higher within wave C of circle wave D.
For the detailed internal structure, please check the micro timeframe on the chart. From a higher level, we are watching both the main trend line and the reaction when price approaches the November highs. That reaction will be important.
Overall, there is a reasonable chance for an upward move as part of the yellow C-wave within circle wave D. The next key resistance zone sits between 170 USD and 318 USD.
