#oilpricefalls Refined gasoline comes from crude oil, but their prices don't move in lock step, as anyone who's been checking the price of crude lately has learned. Crude oil is down 36% from its recent peak in April, while gas prices are down just 22% from their recent high in May. A leading local economist said the disconnect comes from crude being what's known as a leading indicator, while gas is a lagging indicator.
