Fundraising Campaign — Hazelnut Customs
Hazelnut Customs is an independent hardware and imaging project operating at the intersection of custom camera engineering and experimental digital systems.
We are currently running a support-based fundraising campaign to stabilize and continue the project during a critical period.
Hazelnut Customs has developed one of the first custom digital cameras with built-in cryptocurrency wallets integrated directly into the system architecture. These wallets are not conceptual or external add-ons. They are implemented at the software and hardware level as part of the camera’s internal environment, allowing secure interaction with crypto assets without relying on external devices.
The project is built around a custom imaging pipeline using a Sony IMX477 sensor, a native C-mount for cinema and industrial lenses, and a software architecture that allows deep user-level control, including the ability to write and deploy custom firmware and internal camera software.
To maintain independence and accessibility, we accept support via cryptocurrency in addition to traditional platforms. This aligns naturally with the project’s philosophy and technical foundation.
Hazelnut Customs remains founder-driven, non-corporate, and intentionally independent.
This fundraising campaign is aimed at sustaining development, infrastructure, and core operations so the project can continue evolving.
