NFT liquidity and lending platform Gondi recently contained an exploit that resulted in the theft of 78 NFTs, with total losses estimated at around $230,000, according to blockchain security firm Blockaid.
The issue stemmed from faulty logic in the “Purchase Bundler” function of a newly deployed Sell & Repay contract on Feb. 20. The flaw allowed an attacker to withdraw NFTs without properly verifying the legitimate owner or borrower.
Data from Etherscan shows the NFTs were drained through roughly 40 transactions, including 44 Art Blocks NFTs, 10 Doodles, and several other valuable collections. One victim reportedly lost about 55 ETH, worth around $108,000 at the time.
Gondi has disabled the Sell & Repay feature while deploying a fix, noting that other platform functions remain fully operational.
The team said it is now contacting affected users, tracking stolen NFTs, and using protocol fees to compensate victims or purchase comparable NFTs to offset losses.
