Humanity Protocol stored 3 of 6 keys to our Gnosis Safe holding $36,000,000 on one employee’s laptop, LOL…
> The attack began after a company employee’s laptop was compromised, exposing sensitive access.
> On Ethereum, 3 of 6 Gnosis Safe keys controlling the Hyperlane bridge ProxyAdmin were taken.
> The attacker used these keys to seize ProxyAdmin control and upgrade the bridge to a malicious contract.
> This allowed them to drain approximately 141.2M $H in a single transaction.
> On BSC, 3 of 5 Safe owner keys were also compromised through the same breach.
> The attacker repeated the ProxyAdmin takeover and deployed a malicious contract with unlimited minting capability.
> They minted over 200M $H directly to their wallet in two transactions.
Total losses are estimated at $36M+ across both chains, with funds already moved out.
All bridge activity has now been paused while investigations continue with exchanges and law enforcement.

Why “Decentralization” if one laptop stored 3 keys that can access $36M?
What then was the need for using multisig when one laptop will store all the keys? LOL
