Most times when i see a someone praying, i am watching a them talk to themselves about himself. there is nothing wrong with this it is just not prayer. i do not know what prayer is but i know the two farmers next to each other, one asking for sun, one asking for rain, should tell us something. and it does not tell us that god does not exist. it tells us that what we want from him is so small, so stupid, so selfish, that a child would be embarrassed by the request. and maybe prayer starts there somewhere around the embarrassment. the moment you realize your mouth is too small for God, and you stop moving it, and just wait
