Over the weekend, official news indicated that an agreement is near, supporting a drop in oil prices and a temporary rise in gold as a reaction. However, there was also counter news regarding the continuation of the American blockade, which re-supports oil due to supply shortages and strengthens the dollar, putting pressure on gold.

Technical Analysis on a 4-Hour Timeframe.
Gold resistance levels are at 4550/65. If the price remains below this resistance, we stay in a bearish position with a tight stop loss just above the resistance. Below this level, a drop to 4450\4350\4000 is likely before returning to 4690\710. We need to break the resistance and have the price stabilize above it with a confirming candlestick to get an entry signal, with a stop loss below 4550, depending on the break.
