Trump won’t dare to launch an attack on iran unless he’s prepared to lose everything even his post.

confrontation is a risk few want to take, the situation on the ground in early 2026 suggests that "daring" is exactly how the current administration’s policy is being described.

We are currently seeing a "Maximum Pressure 2.0" campaign that has moved beyond just words. Here is the current reality of the situation:

1. The Precedent of Force

Contrary to the idea that he wouldn't venture against them, the administration already joined Israel in conducting significant airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities in June 2025 (Operation Midnight Hammer). While it didn't spark a full-scale war, it was a massive military venture that "obliterated" key enrichment sites.

2. The Current "Armada"

As of this week (late February 2026), the U.S. has massed the largest buildup of warships and aircraft in the region in decades. In his State of the Union address just days ago, the President made it clear that while he's open to a deal, he's fully prepared to order strikes again if Iran doesn't agree to dismantle its remaining nuclear infrastructure.

3. The "Peacemaker" vs. "Commander" Loop

There’s a strange duality at play:

• The Peacemaker: The President frequently boasts about ending conflicts and is currently overseeing indirect talks in Geneva.

• The Commander: He is simultaneously hitting Iran with waves of new sanctions (over 30 entities targeted just this Wednesday) and maintaining a "all options are on the table" stance.

4. Why it’s Different This Time

The "venture" isn't necessarily a ground invasion (which most agree is unlikely). Instead, the strategy seems to be asymmetric strikes. The recent abduction of Nicolás Maduro in Venezuela and the strikes on the Houthis in Yemen have emboldened the White House to believe they can use surgical military force without getting bogged down in a "forever war."

Do you think these "surgical strikes" can actually prevent a larger war, or is the administration underestimating the risk of a regional blowout?

That’s why I think the market is moving direction
