On April 21, 2026, @burnt_xion rolled out its biggest mainnet upgrade to date. x/zk now natively supports Groth16 (Circom + Gnark) and Barretenberg UltraHonk, meaning the proving stacks most builders already run plug directly into $XION . No custom verifier contracts. No extra scaffolding. Circom handles what's live in production today. Gnark brings in Consensys tooling. Noir devs get the full path, write circuits, prove with Barretenberg, verify on XION, done. JWS verification now sits beside JWT in x/dkim, so apps using JWS auth flows connect without reformatting tokens. Protocol-level execution. One standard. Every app inherits it.
