The order of #transactions (MEV, frontrunning, sandwich)

When you send a transaction, it lands in a "mempool" = a public waiting room.

Super-fast bots are watching this room. If they spot your buy, they can:

1. Buy right before you, jacking up the price

2. Sell right after you, leaving you in the red

This is called MEV (Maximal Extractable Value).

It's legal. It's invisible. It’s probably cost you some cash already.
Solutions exist (transaction encryption, mempools, blind orders), but few chains...
