On-chain interactions too taxing? Let’s chat about my real thoughts on Genius
Brothers, May is finally over. Recently, everyone has been grinding for airdrops and pumping interactions—feeling pretty drained, right? Every day, it’s all about granting permissions, jumping across chains, switching networks, and looking at that meager profit in our wallets—it’s just hard-earned cash.
I’ve been scanning the market lately and noticed a really awkward phenomenon in our crypto space:
• Projects are self-congratulatory: Every day they flaunt TVL hitting new highs and boast about adding hundreds of ecosystem partners.
• Retail investors are feeling fatigued: Every time we grant permissions, we’re scared of wallet hacks, and even a simple interaction might require hopping between three platforms.
For us seasoned players, this kind of grind has become routine. But if you think about it, is this experience really reasonable? It actually gives me a fresh perspective on @GeniusOfficial . They are diligently working on something extremely important: hiding all the complex on-chain operations behind the scenes.
Anyone who has brought newbies into the space knows that just teaching them how to buy gas fees and use cross-chain bridges can easily scare a bunch of them off. What newbies really care about is never how cool your underlying code is, but “what should I click next?” Genius’s approach is crystal clear:
1. Provide fewer buttons: The interface is extremely streamlined, deliberately avoiding flashy visual clutter for users.
2. Require less thought: Just like when we use our phones to scan and pay, one click can smoothly wrap up the entire process.
At the end of the day, if the on-chain ecosystem really wants to explode on a massive scale in the future, the entry barriers need to come down. From the information currently being released, Genius is definitely not just riding some short-term hype; they genuinely want to bring in ordinary folks from outside the circle smoothly. Given their serious attitude towards product development, we should definitely keep our eyes on them in June.
