What was genuinely strong: the Zoom integration for deepfake proof. That was the clearest and most practical part of the event, especially with support from the Zoom CEO. If proof-of-human becomes important in the AI era, this is exactly the kind of real-world use case that matters.

What was weak: the presentation itself. Blania speaking remotely from a hospital bed in Germany was not a good look, and Sam Altman’s factual absence from the event made the optics even worse.

So the event was mixed: strong product signal, weak delivery.

For those who still believe in the future of deepfake-proof and proof-of-human, my view is to ignore the noise for now rather than chase or panic.

Illness or proximity to death often makes humans temporarily altruistic — it’s a self-protection reflex, a way to seek help and meaning. Once health returns, it’s forgotten.
