The core principle of trading is simple: “Trend is your friend.”
👉 From last night to this morning, many altcoins pumped aggressively, clearly following BTC’s bullish trend. In such situations, the logical approach is either to go with the trend (buy/long) or stay out if the risk feels too high.
👉 However, many traders did the opposite. They kept shorting coins like $BABY , $LUNC , and even $GENIUS — which is currently extremely hot with massive volume. Their mindset is flawed: they assume that since the price has already gone up, it “can’t go higher.” This leads them to open shorts without proper risk management, often without a stop-loss — and that’s how accounts get wiped out.
👉 We’ve seen this before. Coins like RAVE moved from 0.5 to 28 USD in a straight rally. Anyone stubbornly shorting that move had no chance of surviving, no matter how big their capital was.
👉 My trading principle is very clear: “Trend is your friend.” When the market is strongly bullish — especially when indicators like RSI are sitting at 80 or even above 90 (as with $BABY now) — shorting is extremely risky and often a losing strategy.
👉 Instead of fighting the trend, respect it. Either ride it or wait for a clear reversal signal. Never trade based on ego — trade based on market structure and momentum.
