A long liquidation worth $9.9017K occurred at the price level of $12.249.

This means traders who expected LINK to move higher were caught on the wrong side of the move. As the price dropped, their long positions were forcefully closed, locking in losses.

Such liquidations usually reflect strong selling pressure and can lead to short-term bearish momentum or sharp volatility, especially if more long positions are clustered nearby.

The debate between Chainlink and Ripple supporters is heating up once again. Renowned crypto analyst and newsletter founder Lark Davis recently stated that Chainlink (LINK) could decisively surpass Ripple (XRP) over the next decade—both in terms of technology and real-world adoption.
In an interview for Rollup TV, Davis didn’t hold back:
"I believe Chainlink is an infinitely better asset than XRP. And I say that even though I don’t currently hold any LINK. Their CCIP technology is extremely compelling."
🔹 CCIP (Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol) enables seamless asset transfers across multiple blockchains—directly and securely—without relying on third-party bridges. According to Davis, it’s like "moving digital goods from one silo to another" with efficiency and trust.

XRP Still Has Loyal Fans – But Limited Usage?
Davis also compared the fundamental differences between the two ecosystems. Ripple, he said, operates more like a closed-loop banking system, focusing on partnerships with giants like SWIFT or Visa.
Even though XRP has been around for over a decade and built a strong community, Davis warned:
"XRP doesn’t get used much on a daily basis. Its utility is quite limited."
Chainlink, by contrast, is expanding its reach in key sectors of the digital economy: tokenization of real-world assets (RWA), cross-chain infrastructure, and the evolution of traditional finance.

LINK Surges Ahead With ETF, Solana Bridge, and RWA Adoption
In recent weeks, Chainlink has made several major announcements:
🔹 Grayscale launched GLNK ETF, the first regulated U.S. fund offering exposure to Chainlink

🔹 Coinbase’s Layer-2 network integrated an official bridge to Solana, streamlining token transfers between chains

🔹 DTCC—the world’s largest settlement and clearing system—secured regulatory approval to launch a pilot program for tokenizing real-world assets via Chainlink. The launch is expected in 2026.

What About XRP’s Future?
Despite his skepticism, Davis doesn’t dismiss XRP entirely. He acknowledges that if the Ripple team (led by Brad Garlinghouse and Chris Larsen) executes well, XRP could still reach $10.
"I understand why people invest in XRP… If Chris and Brad get everything right, it might really take off."
Still, Davis concluded:
"If I had to choose, I’d bet on LINK. It has the tech, the vision, and the momentum that make sense long-term."
