Truce Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced on Friday the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to all types of commercial vessels.
"In accordance with the ceasefire in Lebanon, the passage of all commercial vessels through the Strait of Hormuz is declared fully open for the remaining period of the ceasefire, along the coordinated route as already announced by the Ports and Navigation Organization of the Islamic Republic of Iran," he stated on social media.
On Thursday, Israel and Lebanon reached a 10-day truce brokered by the United States. The ceasefire officially began on the same day, April 16, 2026.
