Today, I want to share what most people don't know about something that they see very often, we're talking about Shibarium of the Shiba Inu ecosystem. Please do read through these few paragraphs below to have a better understanding of what it all actually means.

Shibarium, as we all know is a "Layer-2" blockchain and it serves as a separate blockchain network that is built on top of "Ethereum, which is a Layer-1 blockchain". The difference between Layer-1 and Layer-2 is that Layer-2 is faster and cost effective. Shibarium processes all the transations off-chain in batches and then settles the final data on the Ethereum main-net. The transfer fees on Shibarium is comparatively much lower as compared to Ethereum and the processing speed is much higher.

Launched in August, 2023, it's primary purpose is to solve the high gas fees and slow transactional fees, as explained earlier. It also helps in managing the congestion of Shiba Inu tokens on the Ethereum blockchain, as the number of $SHIB tokens is massive. So the transactions on Shibarium will happen separately and the final number will be moved and converted collectively on and at the same time on the Ethereum chain.

Plus, there are also the BONE and LEASH, both of which are separate tokens but within the same eco-system, but these two are not on the exchanges, only in the Shibarium.

Shibarium includes games and apps, most popular of which is "Shiba Eternity" a card game. In Shibarium games, people use the tokens to buy NFTs and in-game items. Another notable mention is "SHIB The Metaverse". There are also several mini-games within the eco-system.

So far, $SHIB on all the exchanges still move in the Ethereum Layer-1 blockchain and Shibarium is still in it's early stages. Also the number of SHIB tokens is still mostly on the exchanges and those in the Shibarium are still very low. As Shibarium is still in the early stages, the number of tokes in its Layer-2 is still much lower as compared to the numbers still on the Ethereum chain's Layer-1.

SHIB is right now, very low and even a few dollars can buy a massive supply of this token, whether on exchanges or within the Shibarium. It is always found in the last page in the per token price list on exchanges, but given the solid base it has built over time, this token is going to stay and hold and grow. With that being said, it won't hurt buying and holding the SHIB token and infact there is always a possibility of this asset turning into a profitable one and it might even save the HODLer on a rainy day. For most, $SHIB is a great asset and it's a good time to accumulate.
