$POL is designed as a “hyperproductive” token — it doesn’t just serve as gas/staking like MATIC did, but adds more utility. E.g. validators can earn rewards by securing multiple chains, participating in data availability, etc.

3. Clear Migration Path (from MATIC to POL)

The transition from MATIC → POL was executed with transparency, community input, and ensuring that holders could migrate tokens 1:1. On Polygon PoS network, token holders essentially have automatic or straightforward migration methods.
