The wealth of America's top 1% surged to a record $52 trillion in Q2 2025, according to new Federal Reserve data.
Their fortunes climbed 8.5% year-over-year, while the bottom half saw a 6.3% gain, widening the wealth gap once again.
The top 1% now controls nearly a third of the nation's total wealth and owns about half of all corporate equities and mutual funds - a share that's been rising for decades.
