Amid the growing AI-blockchain integration industry, Kite (KITE) is a unique Layer-1 blockchain project that is specifically tailored to the so-called agentic economy the world in which autonomous AI agents can transact, cooperate and act without human supervision. Released on Binance in November 2025 as its 71st Launchpool project, Kite handles a severe problem, which is facilitating high-efficiency machine-to-machine (M2M) payments and governance without compromising on reliability and security. Supported by high profile investors such as PayPal Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Hashed, Samsung Next, and General Catalyst, with more than 33 million dollars raised, Kite proves that with speed and scalability, trust does not have to be sacrificed.

Fundamentally, Kite is the first AI-native payment blockchain, which is created in the form of Layer-1 as an EVM-compatible blockchain with a proprietary Proof of Artificial Intelligence (PoAI) consensus mechanism. As opposed to traditional Proof-of-Work (PoW) systems which require huge amounts of energy or even common Proof-of-Stake (PoS) which rewards financial staking, PoAI rewards demonstrable contributions of AI models, datasets and agents and services. This AI meritocracy directly matches incentives with valuable computation and data inputs and thus the network is even more efficient, as mining is no longer needed, but the AI contribution to the work is productive. Transactions have almost immediate finality, with average block times of 1-second, and fees are usually low, frequently approximately none on stablecoin settlements.

Kite is efficient due to various innovative features that are designed to suit AI agents. The Kite Passport system offers cryptographic Decentralized Identifiers (DID) to agents, models and data services that allow portable, reputation-based identities that remove unnecessary authentication at the platform level. Fine-grained permissioning is enabled by programmable governance: agents are able to delegate spending limits, contextual controls as well as usage restrictions without human mediation. The seamless M2M micropayment of USDC or other assets can be performed with integration with stablecoins (through deep integration of the x402 protocol of Coinbase), where the integration directly with the API or other intermediaries is avoided. This event-driven architecture, SDKs, policy engines, and account abstraction make it much easier to create an agent since scaleable friction-free negotiation and payment among agents can be made possible.

However, Kite is efficient and reliable at the same time. Verifiability Cryptographic verifiability is incorporated: all agent actions, identities, and attribution are on-chain and are immutable, and cannot be spoofed or performed by an unauthorized agent. The identity model (3-layer) (root permissions, delegated agent access and session based temporaries) employs BIP-32 hierarchical derivation to accomplish secure and provable lineage. Reputation systems are constructed based on verifiable histories over time and allow building trust concerning long-term interactions with agents, whereas data sovereignty is maintained.

Kite also focuses on real-world robustness which further enhances security. Collaborations with trusted solutions providers such as Coinbase are compliance-ready solutions in terms of billing, risk management, and cross-chain interoperability. The design of the network does not over-deploy inflationary incentives, rather, value is earned by real-world usage - revenues of stablecoins partially turn into KITE buy pressure, which establishes sustainable economics. The amount of circulating supply is capped at 10 billion tokens (18 percent initially distributed) with allocations favoring the development of the ecosystem (48 percent to community and modules) and AI infrastructure and minimizing the dumping risks associated with many speculative projects.

The tokenomics of Kite enhance this equilibrium: KITE is used to power staking, governance and incentives; however, this demand is not hyped but it is driven by actual agent behavior. The number of interactions with the agents per day of over 1 million shows an early traction with no network overload or failure points compared to lesser-optimized chains.

Kite demonstrates that blockchain infrastructure can be rapid and impregnable to attacks in an age when AI agents are projected to operate trillion dollar economies. Kite is able to speed up the agentic internet by making it verifiably identityable, programmably controlled, and efficiently railed onto stablecoins, thereby making it not only much faster but also operationally as reliable as an institutional-grade service. As more autonomous systems appear, systems such as Kite will enable a decentralized future that is both credible and effective enough to support the free agency of AI agents, without compromising the security that has made blockchain groundbreaking.
