Over 160 nodes updated to the new version of $XRP software since yesterday. Great! The XRPL absolutely doesn't want your "help" running a node or validator for the sake of running one. The XRPL pruned and trimmed the fat. Anyone who doesn't benefit directly from the XRPL will also not care about their infrastructure being up to date and get amendment blocked when a version with amendment is activated. This is exactly what happend. Those who are here right now, are those who actively use the XRPL. Those who are gone are also those who didn't care. At no point in time the XRPL was in "danger" or needed help. Addition by subtraction. Lastly, if you do want to run a validator or a node, that's amazing but then it needs to have a use. Education, Business, Audit, Research etc - if none if this applies to you, then don't run one. Leave it.
