What stands out to me about Newton Protocol is that it is not simply introducing another blockchain feature, but rather a distinct authorization layer.

Most on-chain systems verify that a transaction has occurred.

Newton begins with a more fundamental question:

Should this transaction be permitted at all?

That distinction may become increasingly important as AI agents, institutions, and tokenized RWAs become more deeply integrated into on-chain finance.

If AI is going to interact with financial systems, programmable policy controls that define what it can and cannot do feel less like a convenience and more like essential infrastructure.

That is why I am closely following the development of the Mainnet Beta. If this model proves effective, it could make on-chain automation safer, more practical, and better suited for institutional adoption.

Execution confirms what happened. Authorization determines what should happen.

That is a meaningful shift.

Do you think authorization layers will become standard in on-chain finance?
absolutely essential
for institutions and AI agents
execution matters more
Unsure still too early
