It also means altcoins struggle to outperform. The altcoin season index is also low right now. That index only signals a true altcoin season when most coins beat Bitcoin for a long time. We are not there yet.
Even so many people believe the setup is forming.
Ethereum often leads altcoin rallies. When Ethereum starts moving money tends to follow into other projects. There are signs that Ethereum could matter again next year. Large firms are building products on its network. Stablecoin activity is also growing fast. These are signs of real use not hype.
Because of that some expect Ethereum to play a key role if an altcoin season arrives in two zero two six.
Still not everyone thinks of altcoin season as one big event.
