A major $UNI governance proposal to activate a fee switch and burn 100 million UNI tokens has passed with overwhelming support sending the price of UNI higher. As of December 22 2025 the price of UNI is approximately $6.25 USD with the price rallying more than 10% in the last 24 hours. 

The UNIfication proposal which is in its final voting stage until December 25 involves implementing a new fee mechanism to direct a portion of trading fees to $UNI token burns. The vote has already surpassed the required quorum with near unanimous support indicating its likely passage.

The new system will route protocol fees to a mechanism that permanently destroys $UNI linking increased network usage directly to a reduced token supply.#UNI #WriteToEarnUpgrade
