Let’s talk about timing.

Not the kind of timing where you catch the green light just before it turns red.

I’m talking about crypto timing—where you buy a token at $0.70, watch it skyrocket to $4.1, whisper to yourself “This is only the beginning,” and then watch it calmly stroll back down to $0.85 like it’s taking an evening walk in the park.

Yes, that’s me.

And if you’ve ever held through a peak just to see it dip again, you might see yourself in this story too.

I got into LIGHT at $0.70.

The charts were whispering sweet nothings, the community was buzzing, and everything in my gut said

this could be it.

And for a glorious moment, it was.

LIGHT didn’t just climb—it Flew 💸

From $0.70 to $1.50, then $2.80, and before I could screenshot my beautiful portfolio, it kissed $4.

That’s when the brain said

"Take some profit. Secure the bag."

But my heart—and my inner “diamond hands” alter ego—said something else:

“This is just getting started.”

The Plot Twist: When “HODL” Becomes “Hold… On Dear Life”

We’ve all been there.

You watch the price retrace a little and think, “Normal correction.”

Then it dips a bit more. “Just shaking out the weak hands.”

Then it settles at $0.85.

That’s when you go through the Five Emotional Stages of Crypto Grief

1. Denial – “The chart is lagging. Refresh.”

2. Bargaining – “If it just goes back to $3, I’ll sell half, I promise.”

3. Humour – Laughs nervously while looking at “Floating PNL” turning a lighter shade of green.

4. Acceptance – “Okay, so we’re still up from entry. Breathe.”

5. Conviction – “You know what? The project hasn’t changed. I’m still in.”

And that’s where I am now.

Still holding. Still believing.

But also still side-eyeing that $4 peak like, “We could’ve been something, you and me.”

The Lesson (That We All Keep Learning)

It’s easy to say “take profits” in hindsight.

It’s harder when you genuinely believe in a project’s potential—when the fundamentals are solid, the team is active, and the roadmap looks bright.

Greed isn’t the only reason we hold. Sometimes it’s faith. Sometimes it’s stubbornness. Sometimes it’s both.

I didn’t sell at $4.

And now, at $0.85, I’m not selling either.

Not because I’m chasing that high again, but because my original thesis hasn’t changed.

LIGHT still looks like a long-term play to me—it just decided to test my patience along the way.

So… What Now

If you’re in a similar boat—whether with LIGHT or another token—you’re not alone.

Crypto isn’t just a market, it’s a mood ring.

Green for euphoria, red for panic, and that awkward shade in between where you’re not sure whether to buy more, sell, or just log out and touch grass.

I’m choosing to hold, watch, and learn.

And maybe, next time, I’ll set a take-profit target before my emotions do the talking.

But for now?

I’m still here.

Still holding LIGHT.

And still quietly whispering to my portfolio: “So… you’re saying there’s still time?”

Disclaimer: This is not financial advice. It’s a dramatised retelling of my very real, very human crypto choices. Always do your own research—and maybe set a reminder to take profits now and then. 😅
