Walrus has announced the winners of its first Haulout hackathon. The event brought builders together to explore how data can be stored shared and trusted in a new way. The goal was clear. Build tools that help people feel safe about their data in daily life.
The hackathon launched in 2025 and focused on three main tools. Walrus helps with decentralized data storage. Seal helps manage who can access data. Nautilus helps prove off chain work in a fair way. Together they give developers a new base to build useful products.
Builders were asked to create real solutions in four areas. These areas were data markets AI based workflows proof of truth and data safety. Teams from twenty seven countries joined. Many ideas were shared. A few stood out because they were simple useful and strong in design.
