here's the gist: mira breaks down ai responses into atomic claims. tiny, digestible pieces of truth. then nodes verify these claims, reach consensus, and publish the results on-chain. it's trying to be a trust layer for ai. and honestly? that's a problem worth solving.
now let's talk about the thing that actually matters: $MIRA.
it's the fuel. the glue. the economic anchor. 1 billion supply, ERC-20 on base. but the real story is what it does.
validators stake it to participate. if they verify correctly, they get rewarded. if they act shady, they get slashed. it's game theory 101, but applied to ai truth-seeking. api fees are paid in it. governance runs on it. the whole machine hums because this token exists.
but here's where my eyebrows go up.
i started digging into contract mechanics. specifically this idea of burn and restoreSupply. sounds innocent enough on paper—flexible supply management, anti-inflation measures, etc. but in practice? that's a double-edged sword.

and on the bias front? mira pulls from multiple ai providers in its pool. aggregates verification results. so you're not just taking openai's word as gospel. you're getting consensus across models. the verified output can then be used by any app via standard apis/sdks without re-verifying. that's where the leverage is.

there are still open questions that keep me up at night.
like, what's the minimum stake that actually keeps the system secure? if the barrier to entry is too high, you centralize. if it's too low, you invite bad actors. where's the line?
and will decentralization naturally drift toward concentration? big players with big stakes have more influence. that's just how capital works. mira can design around it, but game theory only gets you so far before human nature kicks in.
so yeah. mira is building something that matters. but the real answers won't be in the whitepaper. they'll play out in the wild.
