🚨BREAKING: FROM 3,000 COMPANIES TO 244 LICENSED FIRMS OVERNIGHT
Only 194 firms hold MiCA licenses in a market that had over 3,000 registered crypto companies in 2024. Around 75% lost their right to operate as of July 1. ESMA confirmed no extensions, no exceptions, no pending status. Operating without a licence after July 1 is breaking EU law.
Binance, the world's largest crypto exchange, suspended most EU services after failing to obtain a MiCA licence. Estonia had 641 licensed crypto firms at its peak. Today it contributes almost nothing to the authorised register. Coinbase, Kraken, OK, Crypto.com and Ripple secured licences and now dominate the entire bloc.
