Brother, my son is very thirsty for water. Can you bring me a bottle of water? I will give you money. Otherwise, I will have to drink this rotten water. Give me some water, brother...

These words were spoken by Shamsul Alam, who came from India. His younger son Abdus Salam was in his lap. The child's dry mouth and crying for water seemed to make his father even more helpless. "Dad, give me water, I know how it feels."

On Saturday (June 6) afternoon, he was pleading like this while sitting inside India on the border of Dakshin Pradhanpara in Harivasa Union of Panchagarh Sadar Upazila, across the zero line.

There, 10 people, including women, men and children, have been living under the open sky for more than 40 hours. There has been no solution to this situation created by the attempt to 'push-in' in Bangladesh. They have been living in inhuman conditions for a long time, living in uncertainty.

It is known that on Friday morning, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) tried to push 10 people into Bangladesh in the border area under the responsibility of Barabari BOP. Upon receiving the information, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) quickly reached the spot and took preventive measures. With the help of local residents, the push-in attempt failed due to the strict stance of BGB. As a result, the people could not enter Bangladeshi territory. Since then, they have been staying inside India beyond the zero line.

On the spot, it was seen that men, women and children were sitting under the open sky in an agricultural land adjacent to the border. Water is accumulating in the land. There is no place to lay their heads. Two of the children are six years old and another is nine years old. The children, suffering from hunger and thirst, are repeatedly asking for water. Their parents are struggling to stop their crying.

Local residents said that there was heavy rain in the area on Friday night. Even during the rain, the 10 people, including women and children, were in the same place. There was no temporary shelter for them. Even after spending the whole night soaked in rain, their position did not change.

Among the 10 people, there are five men, two women and three children. Children are suffering the most due to being in the open field for a long time.

The BGB has been on alert in the border area since the incident. In addition to monitoring the situation, communication between the border guards of the two countries is ongoing. Although several flag meetings have been held at the company and battalion levels, no solution has been reached yet. A flag meeting of about 20 minutes was held at the battalion level on Saturday afternoon, but it was not fruitful.

Lieutenant Colonel Md. Sirajul Islam, commander of the Nilphamari Battalion (56 BGB), said that he had a spot meeting with the commander of 93 BSF and requested to take back the people. However, the BSF claimed that it was not possible to accept them since they were citizens of Bangladesh.

Sirajul Islam said, I told them that since they were inside India, they should be sent to Bangladesh through the Immigration Check Post (ICP) following international law. It is not acceptable to cross the border in the dark of night and throw them away like this.

He said that the people were in the rain and adverse weather conditions all night. They are suffering from hunger. This has created an inhumane situation. We have informed the BSF about the matter and requested them to take them back. But so far they have not agreed.

The BGB official also said that Bangladesh will not accept any kind of push-in. If they are citizens of Bangladesh, then they should be sent back following international law and the prescribed process. However, push-in is not acceptable in any way.#viral #foryoupage #tinding #foryou #facebookreels #livemusic #NewsUpdate
