Honestly, omni-chain is one of the most overused narratives in crypto. Every project talks about multi-chain, cross-chain, omni-chain… it sounds impressive, but in reality, users still bridge assets, still deal with friction, nothing really changes.

With Sign, it feels different. They’re not using omni-chain to prove how advanced their tech is, but to solve a very specific issue, verification and data shouldn’t be limited by a single chain.

If you look at regions like the Middle East, where they’re focusing, the problem isn’t which chain is better. The real issue is system connectivity. Governments, enterprises, platforms… each might use different stacks. If data is locked inside one chain, it becomes almost useless.

This is where the idea of a “real project” shows up. They don’t force users to change behavior drastically, they don’t force developers to relearn everything. Instead, they adjust the product to fit reality. That’s rare in crypto, where most projects expect the market to adapt to them.

Midnight might not be the most hyped name, because privacy and infrastructure rarely are. But if they build this right, it could become something people use without even noticing. Like the internet itself, no one thinks about the underlying protocols, it just works.
