I believe that is the first part of the solution, the second would be the payment of commissions with the currency of the operation (not native) at the destination, this way you could move tokens between networks.

What if all blockchains spoke the same language?
In 2018, @WalletConnect started as a simple bridge on Ethereum. But it soon became clear that Web3 needed something bigger: to interoperate between chains without friction. In 2019, CAIPs (Chain Agnostic Improvement Proposals) were born, the standard that allowed different blockchains to understand each other under a single interface.
That was the beginning of version 2.0, where WalletConnect went from being "the bridge of Ethereum" to becoming the universal interpreter of Web3. Today it connects Ethereum, Solana, Cosmos, Polkadot, NEAR, Algorand, and more, with 700+ wallets and 65,000+ dApps that speak the same language.
The question is not whether Web3 will be multichain, but how smoothly it will be to move between chains. And there, WalletConnect continues to set the pace.
Can you imagine using apps on different blockchains without realizing which network you are on?
