Only 29% out of the top 50 altcoins have outperformed $BTC this year.

This percentage has not gone above 39% for the past 6 months.

As you can see by the chart, the last time altcoins truly outperformed over a long period of time was during the covid era in 2020-2021.

Anything after that point has been short periods of outperformance but never lasting more than 2-3 months or more recently, 2-3 weeks at best.

$BTC There are no major liquidity clusters in nearby proximity. Most of that has been taken out above and below in October.

It will take time for liquidity & positions to build back up.

Locally, the levels to watch are ~$106K & $117K which are right below and above the local range. Which makes sense obviously as those levels have been defended for some time now.

We did open up with some gaps the past two weeks but both of those also got closed within days. So overall, the weekends have not been making any meaningful difference for a long time.

Some stats:
1. November is Bitcoin's best month based on historical performance. By far.
2. The average gain over all these months is +46.02%. But this is heavily skewed by a single monthly gain in November 2013. Bitcoin went up +449.35%!! that month.
3. 8 out of 12 November's have been green.
4. November & December is when the 2013, 2017 & 2021 cycles topped out. It's also where the 2018 & 2022 cycles bottomed out.

All in all, an eventful last 2 months of the year generally speaking. Whether it's on the bullish or bearish side, volatility and big market pivots have been the theme into the end of the year.
