Why fixed-rate and instant swaps matter for BTC traders? BOB co-founder Alexei Zamyatin has a strong opinion about it.
'Bitcoin price moves every 10 minutes, right? It could go up, it could go down. But the way that cross-chain swaps work today generally is if it goes up, you're not going to get the better price.
But if it goes down, you will get less because user bears the risk. And that's unfortunately the state of the market today.
This is something we can solve at BOB by getting rid of these 10 minutes, by guaranteeing execution. You send your Bitcoin, you know exactly you're going to get this amount of dollars that you're being shown on whatever chain you like. You know, it's going to be executed within seconds, if not faster'
