A disturbing account has emerged from Ghulam Ahmed of Okara, who alleges in a video exposé that prolonged abuse by Pakistan’s FIA Cyber Crime Wing beginning in December 2018. Ahmed claims officials stole 5.38 Bitcoin (worth approximately PKR 170 million today), illegally seized computer and mining equipment valued at nearly PKR 4 million, and extorted PKR 1.5 million in bribes from his family. He says this occurred despite his status as a legitimate crypto mining entrepreneur who invested his own funds into a hydro-powered mining farm and contributed to Pakistan’s early crypto advisory efforts.

Ahmed says FIA officials raided his office, confiscated equipment, and arrested him without proper investigation. He claims he was held in custody and subjected to severe physical torture, leaving him with long-term health complications. During physical remand, he alleges the FIA Investigating Officer accessed his laptop and phone and transferred 5.38 BTC from his wallets without any seizure memo or legal documentation.

According to Ahmed, FIA officers repeatedly demanded bribes and later pressured his family to pay PKR 1.5 million under threats of prolonged imprisonment. He says he was released only after the payment, despite assurances that no FIR would be filed. An internal FIA inquiry later reportedly confirmed both the Bitcoin theft and bribery and recommended the registration of an FIR against the officer involved, yet no action has followed. Ahmed says he has now spent over seven years in litigation, attending more than 115 court hearings, while the accused officer continues to serve freely.

Ahmed further claims that he was later contacted by Sarfaraz Chaudhry, an FIA official who was subsequently suspended in the Ducky Bhai investigation, with assurances that his case could be resolved. According to Ahmed, those assurances also proved futile. He now appeals to high-ranking state officials and influential authorities, including what he refers to as “Big Brother,” to intervene, ensure accountability, and help him obtain justice after years of alleged abuse
