China se îndreaptă spre Crypto? Summitul rar de politici de la Shanghai stârnește buzz pe piață
Potrivit Reuters, Comisia pentru Supervizarea și Administrarea Activelor de Stat din Shanghai (SASAC) s-a întâlnit cu oficiali ai guvernului local joi pentru a discuta despre reglementarea stablecoin-urilor și a monedelor digitale.
China a interzis bitcoinul din 2021, astfel că summitul de 60-70 de persoane ar putea indica o schimbare. Raport: Directorul regulatorului a sfătuit adunarea să aibă „o sensibilitate mai mare față de tehnologiile emergente și o cercetare îmbunătățită asupra monedelor digitale.”
SASAC a programat această întâlnire după ce gigantii internetului JD.com și Ant Group au împins banca centrală a Chinei să legalizeze stablecoin-urile bazate pe yuan și Hong Kong planifică să lanseze legislația pentru stablecoin-uri pe 1 august.
JD.com și Ant Group se numără printre cei peste 40 de solicitanți pentru licențierea stablecoin-urilor din Hong Kong. Cu toate acestea, sursa media locală Yicai prezice că puțini dintre cei care au speranțe ar fi aprobați.
Restricțiile stricte de capital ale Chinei fac incert dacă conferința de la Shanghai va produce rezultate. Țara a interzis cripto în 2021. Îngrijorările legate de stabilitatea sistemului financiar au oprit comerțul și mineritul.
Națiunea avea jumătate din puterea de procesare a mineritului Bitcoin la nivel mondial, sau „Hashrate”, înainte de interdicție. Hashrate-ul a scăzut pe măsură ce minerii s-au închis și s-au mutat după ce au auzit despre represiune.
Deși interdicția a afectat inițial, puterea de procesare BTC s-a recuperat până în 2022, demonstrând că rețeaua s-a recuperat rapid. Sectorul mineritului a crescut de atunci, iar Hashrate-ul mondial este acum de cinci ori mai mare decât valoarea de dinainte de interdicție.
Cambridge a declarat mai devreme în acest an că 75% din activitatea de minerit Bitcoin este în SUA.
China poate că a interzis cripto, dar industria a crescut în străinătate. Bitcoin a spart un alt prag după ce a trecut de 118.000 de dolari, sugerând că tendința globală ar putea fi prea mare pentru ca țara să o ignore.
