Vitalik Buterin a anunțat o schimbare strategică semnificativă la Fundația Ethereum, subliniind că influența sa personală va continua să scadă pe măsură ce organizația devine mai puțin centralizată. În loc să acționeze ca principalul coordonator al ecosistemului Ethereum, Fundația se vede acum ca un participant printre mulți. Această tranziție este condusă în mare parte de președintele Fundației, Aya Miyaguchi, și vine ca răspuns la criticile comunității că organizația deținea prea multă putere în raport cu idealurile sale de descentralizare.
În același timp, Fundația își restrânge misiunea și reduce vânzările de ETH pentru a se concentra pe sustenabilitatea pe termen lung. Buterin a introdus un nou cadru numit “CROPS”, care dă prioritate rezistenței la cenzură, deschiderii, intimității și securității. În loc să concureze cu blockchain-uri mai rapide pe viteză, Ethereum se va concentra pe provocări tehnice mai profunde pe care alte rețele sunt mai puțin probabil să le urmărească. Aceasta include construirea de sisteme dovedit securizate folosind verificarea asistată de AI, îmbunătățirea mecanismelor de consens pentru a rămâne sigur în condiții extreme și reducerea dependenței de intermediari prin noi propuneri și inovații în portofele.
Scopul redus al Fundației înseamnă, de asemenea, că mai multe responsabilități se vor muta către jucători externi din ecosistem, în special în domeniile legate de sprijinirea ETH ca activ. Deși Fundația poate oferi în continuare suport inițial, nu va mai încerca să conducă fiecare inițiativă. Aceasta reflectă o mișcare mai amplă către descentralizare, întărită de faptul că Fundația deține doar aproximativ 0.16% din oferta totală de ETH—mult mai puțin decât multe organizații comparabile.
Schimbările marchează o tranziție de la un rol larg, central, la o abordare mai concentrată și descentralizată. Cu cea mai mare parte a tezaurului său încă deținut în ETH și cu mai puține vânzări de tokenuri planificate, Fundația prioritizează reziliența și inovația pe termen lung. Restructurarea este așteptată să dureze câteva luni, după care noua direcție va defini următoarea fază de dezvoltare a Ethereum.
