🛡️ UXLINK CEO Clarifies $11 Million Security Breach and Asset Theft
UXLINK CEO Rolland Saf released a comprehensive report confirming a recent security breach and asset theft exceeding $11 million, emphasizing the incident was not caused by internal factors.
The attack involved external hackers impersonating business partners and utilizing deepfake video conferencing over several months. This sophisticated method compromised the personal devices of multiple SAFE key holders, allowing the theft of passwords and private keys. Ultimately, the hackers gained control of the old arb-UXLINK smart contract, where they illegally minted, transferred, and sold assets (USDT, $ETH ETH, and $BTC BTC).
The incident was promptly reported to exchanges, security partners, and international law enforcement. The CEO refuted "exit scam" allegations, highlighting UXLINK's genuine revenue and global user base.
Mitigation and Recovery
The UXLINK team has rebuilt the contract and restored 479 million affected circulating tokens on a 1:1 basis. They also unlocked 12% of tokens early, following a governance vote, to compensate exchange users. Multiple international law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the case.
UXLINK asserts its long-term stability and plans to enhance security systems while continuing the development of its AI growth and payment ecosystem, FujiPay.
