#StraitofHurmuz

Iran has notified mediators that it intends to maintain limits on the number of ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz and will introduce tolls during the ceasefire period. Shipping firms will be required to coordinate with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). Even though a final agreement with the United States allows Tehran to charge transit fees, the IRGC still holds the authority to prevent vessels from nations it considers hostile. Additionally, Iran is insisting on a new management system for the strait. These measures come after Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced the strait remains open for navigation.
