The Position I Told AI Pro About… Wasn’t the One I Was Actually Holding

I ran into something small that ended up mattering more than I expected.

I told Binance AI Pro I was long XAU from 3,282 with a stop at 3,251. That wasn’t wrong, but it wasn’t really right either.

I had added to the position later at a higher price. My real average was closer to 3,290. Same stop, different risk profile.

At 3,282, the trade looked like it had more room. At 3,295, that room was tighter. But AI Pro didn’t know that. It gave feedback based on the number I gave it, not the actual position I was managing.

And the answer made sense… just not for me.

That’s when it clicked. It’s not just about asking better questions. It’s also about giving cleaner context.

I didn’t lie. I just simplified. But that small simplification shifted the whole way risk was being evaluated.

Now when I have a live position, I try to be more precise. Average entry, total size, actual stop.

Not the number that feels intuitive. The one that actually defines the trade.

Because the output is only as accurate as what you feed into it.

Still adjusting this, especially with XAU where entries can stack pretty quickly.

But yeah… small detail, bigger impact than I thought.
