The Sui mainnet is fully operational again after a lengthy stall that lasted almost 6 hours.
Developers and validators finally rolled out a long-term fix.
The collapse was caused by a nasty bug in the gas calculation logic, embedded in the 1.72 update — the code was sending validators into an endless crash when trying to process certain transactions.
The network is fixed, but for a coin that brands itself as the ultra-reliable killer of Solana, this marks its second major failure this year.
Locally, $SUI held the March low at $0.89 and bounced back to $0.92, but investor trust will need to be rebuilt from scratch.
