🚨 Zcash halts block production for 4 hours!!! What's going on?

The Zcash (ZEC) network stopped producing blocks around 05:27 AM on June 3rd — and as of mid-afternoon, the chain still hasn't officially confirmed recovery.

The last block was at height #3,364,601. For over 4 hours, no transactions were confirmed on the chain.

However, Helius Mert, the CEO, stated that this is fake news as the Zcash network is still operational.

On Monday evening, June 1st, the Zcash ecosystem rolled out a coordinated network upgrade to address an issue affecting Orchard, Zcash's latest protected mining group.

As a result, the network was "partially down" at that time and has now recovered. Some explorers and wallets may be out of sync, including Cake Wallet and Zodl Wallet.

😅 That was a close call, fam, but you still need to keep an eye on the next moves!!!
