🇰🇷🇰🇵🐂 Chung Ju-yung, the founder of the giant Hyundai, was born in 1915 into a very poor farming family. As a young man, to escape hardship and seek his fortune, he used the money from a family cow to take a train to Seoul. Decades later, having become one of the most powerful moguls in Korea, he made a strong symbolic gesture: in 1998, he crossed the border between the South and the North with 1 001 cows gifted to villages beyond the demilitarized zone in homage to his roots and as a message of hope for peace.
