Just saw the news that Trump is throwing down some serious threats against Iran, saying he's gonna hit them "very hard"! I'm just like: ??? Dude, chill out!
Well, now we see oil prices shooting up, WTI skyrocketed 3.5%, and Brent is up 2.7%... Plus, the US CPI inflation just spiked to 4.2%! This is serious stuff! The calls for a rate cut from the FED have totally cooled off, from a 93.5% chance of a cut down to just 47.8%...
But on the flip side, $BTC is holding its ground pretty well; looks like folks still see it as a safe haven asset. But if things really escalate, who knows what might happen.
The craziest part is that this inflation mess is all due to the Middle East conflict—what does that have to do with the FOMC rate hikes? Oil prices are a geopolitical issue, not something that monetary policy can fix...
Personally, I think Trump is just trying to stir the pot, same old routine. But honestly, if the conflict escalates, the chances of $BTC taking off could be pretty high? Who can say for sure.
