🚨 $TON holders just approved one of the biggest identity changes in the network's history.
After being halted by the SEC in 2020 over Telegram's Gram token sale, the project was forced to abandon the original "Gram" identity.
Now, years later, Toncoin (TON) is being renamed back to its original 2018 name: Gram (GRAM).
But here's the twist:
• The blockchain remains TON
• No token swap is required
• Wallets and balances stay exactly the same
• Smart contracts and addresses remain unchanged
• The market still reacted with a sharp price move
This raises a bigger question:
How much of crypto is technology,
and how much is narrative?
If Telegram's original Gram project had never been shut down in 2020, would TON be in a completely different position today?

• The vulnerability existed since Orchard launched in 2022 and was recently discovered during an audit

• Developers coordinated an emergency patch and upgraded the network
