"TrumpCoin" refers to multiple cryptocurrencies associated with former U.S. President Donald Trump. Here's an overview of the notable ones: $TRUMP Launched on January 17, 2025, just before Donald Trump's inauguration, $TRUMP is a meme coin hosted on the Solana blockchain. Initially, one billion tokens were created, with 200 million released during the initial coin offering (ICO) and the remaining 800 million retained by Trump-affiliated entities, CIC Digital LLC and Fight Fight Fight LLC. The coin's logo features a cartoon image of Trump raising his fist, referencing his survival of an assassination attempt in July 2024. The official website describes it as the "only official Trump meme," emphasizing that it is not intended as an investment opportunity or security. Upon its launch, $TRUMP's price surged over 300% overnight, reaching a market capitalization of nearly $13 billion within two days. By January 19, 2025, the token was valued at approximately $64 per coin. However, the price experienced significant volatility, dropping to around $38 by January 21 and stabilizing between $12.50 and $14 by early March 2025. The venture has faced criticism from ethics experts due to potential conflicts of interest related to Donald Trump's presidential duties. Concerns include the possibility of foreign governments purchasing the coin, which could violate the U.S. Constitution's Emoluments Clause. TrumpCoin (TRUMP) Another cryptocurrency named TrumpCoin (TRUMP) was created to support the Trump administration and its conservative followers. This coin operates on a crowdfunding blockchain, providing funding and recognition for "Patriots" through PatriotNodes and Proof of Stake (PoS) mining.
