As $BTC continues to trade in line with macro forces, large Ethereum holders appear to be adjusting their long-term strategy. BitMNR, the world’s largest corporate holder of ETH, has officially entered Ethereum staking — a notable shift in how institutional treasuries manage crypto assets.

According to on-chain data shared by Arkham Intelligence, BitMNR deposited approximately 74,880 $ETH into Ethereum’s proof-of-stake system, worth close to $219M. This marks the company’s first-ever staking activity, after previously holding its ETH purely for price exposure.

On-chain records indicate BitMNR controls roughly 4.06M ETH, valued near $11.9B, representing about 3.37% of Ethereum’s total supply.

With staking yields around 3.1%, fully staking this balance could generate more than 126,000 ETH annually, translating into substantial recurring yield at current prices.

The broader takeaway: large holders are increasingly viewing Ethereum not just as a speculative asset, but as a yield-generating financial instrument — signaling a structural shift in institutional crypto strategy.
