Bitcoin ETFs Lose Steam as Ethereum Gains Traction with Investors
While Bitcoin ETFs faced $47.82 million in net outflows on June 6—driven by exits from BlackRock’s IBIT—Ethereum ETFs quietly posted a 15th straight day of net inflows, totaling $25.22 million. The shift could reflect changing investor sentiment amid ongoing U.S. regulatory discussions around crypto classifications.

May DEX Volume Hits $474B, BNB Chain Leads With All-Time High

According to DeFiLlama, decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume across all chains reached $474.14 billion in May 2025, marking the second-highest monthly volume ever recorded.

BNB Chain stood out with a record $178.23 billion in volume.

Its leading DEX contributed $165.35 billion—also an all-time high for a single DEX.

The surge was driven by the Alpha airdrop and ongoing trading campaigns.

Binance Futures will launch the USDⓈ-Margined HYPEUSDT perpetual contract on May 30 at 10:30 UTC, offering up to 75x leverage. HYPE is the native token of Hyperliquid, a decentralized exchange platform currently ranked 15th by market cap at $10.94 billion.

Separately, Bondex (BDXN) will debut on Binance Alpha at 10:00 UTC on June 3. The listing will be followed by the launch of the BDXNUSDT perpetual contract on Binance Futures at 10:30 UTC, supporting up to 50x leverage. Bondex is a Web3 professional networking project.

The upcoming Bitcoin 2025 Conference in Las Vegas has announced its speaker lineup, including U.S. Vice President JD Vance, Silk Road founder Ross Ulbricht, Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Michael Saylor of MicroStrategy, and Senator Cynthia Lummis, among others.

On May 23 (ET), spot Bitcoin ETFs recorded a net inflow of $212 million, continuing an eight-day streak of consecutive inflows. Spot Ethereum ETFs also posted $58.63 million in net inflows, marking six straight days of investor interest.

25,000 BTC options are expiring soon with a Put/Call Ratio of 1.22 and a max pain point of $104,000, representing a notional value of $2.81 billion. At the same time, 202,000 ETH options will expire, featuring a Put/Call Ratio of 1.26, max pain point at $2,450, and a notional value of $570 million.
