Amid the latest crackdown by US regulators against the crypto industry, concerned altcoin investors have begun to pay increased attention to the XRP ledger (XRPL) network. Since the beginning of June, the growth of the XRPL network has increased significantly. In particular, from June 2 to June 12, the figure increased by 70%, from 1,435 to 2,443 new wallets created. The network growth metric tracks the rate at which a given blockchain attracts new users, summing up the number of new addresses created daily. When this rate rises sharply during an industry-wide downturn, as shown above, it indicates that the project is gaining market share from other chains. The increase in the number of users joining the network creates new demand for services built on this blockchain. This ultimately puts upward pressure on the price of the network's native token. Historical data shows that previous token price cycles have often moved in sync with the network growth rate. If this pattern repeats again as investors continue to flock to Ripple from other altcoin networks, XRP holders can expect further price increases in the coming weeks. 42
