Ethereum is about to take the next step in its scalability roadmap. In just two days, the network will increase the number of blobs per block, going from 6 to 10, which represents a 67% increase in data capacity.
💨 THE MEANING OF SPEED
This upgrade, which follows the Dencun and Pectra updates, has a direct impact on the ecosystem:
Cheaper L2s: Blobs are the dedicated data space used by Layer 2s (L2) to publish information on Ethereum's Layer 1 ($ETH ). A 67% increase in space means that transactions on L2 will become even cheaper and faster for the end user.
Reinforcement of the Thesis: This is confirmation that the strategy of $ETH to delegate execution to L2s and focus on being an ultra-secure data settlement layer is working perfectly and continuously.
